Meet Our Doctors
Lauri Kim DDS, MSD
Dr. Kim is a board certified diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. She was born and raised in the Bay Area and attended college at UC Berkeley. She then went on to the UCLA School of Dentistry to receive her dental degree. After graduating, she moved back to the Bay Area to receive her Master of Science in Dentistry and training in Orthodontics at the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco. Dr. Kim attends many conferences and lectures throughout the year to keep her knowledge and skills up to date. She believes it is her obligation to her patients to never stop learning.
During her free time, Dr. Kim can be found running after her two young children, spending time with family and friends, and doing YouTube workouts.
Dr. Gabrielle Wainwright, DDS, MSD
Dr. Gabrielle Wainwright is a Bay Area native, and she completed her dental school and orthodontic residency training at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry, earning her DDS, Master of Science in Dentistry, and Certificate in orthodontics. She is experienced in providing orthodontic treatment for patients of all ages with traditional braces and Invisalign, and she strives to provide high-quality clinical care in a comfortable and fun environment. She is looking forward to joining the team at BAO to create beautiful and healthy smiles!
Dr. Erin Ma, DMD, MS
Dr. Erin Ma is originally from Canada and attended the University of Alberta. She received a Bachelor of Science with a Double Major in Biology and Chemistry and graduated with Honors with Distinction. Subsequently, she completed her dental education and was selected for the Honors Orthodontic program. During this time, she won the Oral Medicine award for her department, specializing in atypical oral pathology. For her residency, Dr. Erin Ma obtained her specialty training in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. During this time, she also received her Masters in Oral Biology by dually working on research regarding Cone Beam Computed Tomography. During this time, she won the Research Award for all postgraduate programs and maintained a 4.0 in both programs.
Dr. Ma is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, and the California Dental Association.
